Even though a carousel is typically designed for younger children, adults also enjoy going on this ride. There are many different designs and carousels that are produced on an annual basis. There are some that are more popular than others and it often depends on the way it is constructed. Here are some different types of carousel designs that will be more suited for an adult group.
The Vintage Carousel
Otherwise known as a standard carousel, a vintage carousel is the one that most people have come to love and enjoy. These are traditionally designed with horses that are going to move up and down. In most cases, the horses will look only slightly different. Depending upon the amount of money that is spent on this traditional carousel, the horses may be designed as many different breeds all revolving together.
Modern Carousels
These are designed with more than just horses that are revolving in a circle. You may see a multitude of different animals. This could be seahorses, lions, bears, and other animals that would not normally be positioned together. There may also be fanciful creatures and even spaceships. There are so many designs that you can choose from. At some amusement parks, there may be a luxurious double-decker carousel that will have standard designs below and more unique ones above.
Which One Is Best Suited For Adults?
It really depends upon the age of the adults that will be traveling together to the carnival. If these are individuals that are just out of high school, a carousel with a wide variety of animals would likely be the best choice. If this is an older group, they tend to choose a more traditional carousel, designed with only horses in mind. Finally, a double-decker carousel might be the best choice for a diverse group, allowing the individuals to choose from what could be 10 or more popular animals.
Should The Carousel Have Seats?
In many cases, you will see carousels designed with seats that are in close proximity to the horses. This is usually for the benefit of the parents that are taking pictures of their children. In regard to adults traveling together, going to the carnival, the seats do not have to be present. However, if people would prefer to simply be on the carousel, without having to mount a horse or a different animal, they may simply want to sit as they spin around.
If an adult group is traveling to a local carnival, they may want to experience childhood by going on the carousel ride. For younger adults, they may be looking for a more modern and unique carousel ride with various animals. Older adults will likely want to find a standard carousel complete with horses of many different breeds.
